The Northern Trust Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group is delighted to inform you that on the 8th February 2022 we received our certificate of incorporation from Companies House. The next step is to become a fully registered charity with the Charity Commission; our application is with them. It is now our intention to work to provide a respite facility for PF sufferers and their families in Northern Ireland.
We have appointed 5 new Directors ( Chairman Tom McMillan, Secretary Mrs Judith Byrne, Treasurer Mr Eddie Gamble, Mrs Pat Gorman and Mrs Una McMillan), to run our charity, and an honorary President (Dr Eoin Murtagh)
We have also appointed Ambassadors from around Northern Ireland (Clare Donohoe, Karen Crawford, Shauna Lynch, Janet Bamford, Royce Balmer and Donna Cooney).
Our Enniskillen based Ambassador worked hard with her husband and other to organise a fundraiser in Enniskillen and provided the following update:

It is my absolute pleasure to let you know that we raised an incredible £1700 from our pub quiz hosted by JT Ryan’s Bar in Enniskillen last night. We are truly humbled by the support received from family and friends and local businesses. This money will be used to help establish a Respite Centre for IPF/PF patients, carers and their families, from across N Ireland. We are so grateful to all those who attended on the evening and donated online. A special word of thanks to those who sponsored prizes. Thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation and running of this event including Belinda Dickie and the fantastic Quizmaster Hoppy. Thomas and I are so humbled and grateful for everyone’s contribution and support. 💙🙏💙
